Just had the rear discs and pads changed on my edition 30, driving home noticed a slight squeeling noise but that has started to stop. But the main problem ( might not be ) is that when I got home you could feel the heat coming from the rear, and the rear wheels are really hot! Is this normal after having them changed?

Most of the time new calipers mate, they can be salvaged but there's no cheap way so there's not much point. Its odd they've both started at once though, did you ever notice anything odd before the discs/ pads were changed? Low mpg, sqeaking, heat, lots of dust on rear wheels?

I thought it was both, but it's only one! How much is a new caliper I wonder!

When I had one replaced I think it was about £140 fitted.

My old calipers were sticking and Kwik Fit charged £646 for new pads, discs and calipers fitted... Worked out fairly reasonably I thought

I can't get to the garage to have my new calipers fitted for a few weeks, will the caliper sticking cause major damage to the disc and pad ?

Was this all 4? Or just the rear?
