Seat Removal
« on: December 05, 2009, 01:02:14 am »
Right guys, bought a driver side under seat drawer / storage unit for the ED30, how does the seat come out - am terrified of setting the airbags off ! I know there are 4 locating bolts in the runners, but what do I have to unplug to ensure the airbags don't go off - do I disconnect the battery ???? Also I have the RCD500 upgrade with the amp under the passenger seat, will a similar unit fit the other side with the amp in place ? Just bought the drivers side one just incase.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Gareth  :happy2: :happy2: :happy2:

Just disconnect the battery before doing anything and you will be fine  :happy2:

Plus remember to plug everything back in before reconnecting the battery or you may get any air bag warning light that will need clearing via VCDS or the dealership.

Robin point about airbags is related to his recarro's (as they don't have side airbags).
