sorry mate but you're making it quite clear that you think REVO are the cause of this "flat spot" and that they're "hiding" something from the public.
sounds like you should be on VWVortex rather than a uk forum really!
just read the thread on SCN and one of the cars with a similar prob has a CC map. Now THAT i say is an interesting bit of info.
we never hid the fact that there were other maps from other companies with the same flat spot. Its just the fact that first revo biffed us off saying to check the DV when they were fully aware of the 5200rpm flat spot, then after some more discussion they said change the valve springs. Now we have come to stage where we could very well rule out the valve springs being a issue so what next?
Obviously there is a common factor between these odd 10 stage 2 plus revo cars to have all the exact same issue, with cars ranging from 07 to 09 with varying mileage and if I was revo would want to know more about to advise customers. Its just simple good customer care, instead of not replying to emails etc.
Its funny how quickly people on here snipe about APR big time, but then as soon as I make some liberal comments about revo people get their backs up. If you had one of the cars with the flat spot you would want to know more also, so you could go about getting it fixed, and then share it with the other affected cars so they could get theirs sorted also
Im not saying its revos fault, but there is obviously something slightly different to the affected cars to those that arent.
So no im not blaming revo at all, but they could be more helpful
So because I can afford something more upmarket I shouldnt be driving a SEAT?
