Audi RS6 OR Nissan GTR
« on: May 12, 2015, 01:46:50 pm »
Folks my .:R will be gone soon I want a C7 RS6 or R35 GTR.

Friends just got a GTR and they are lovely. I also need some practicality, which the RS6 offers. The GTR does have a big boot though. Won't be driven every day.

What do we think? I was thinking RS6 and map it as the potential power is immense.

Thoughts/opinions as ever welcomed. GTR is cheaper and seen a few good ones. The RS6 may drop in price a bit more hence my two minds!

My friend had a C7 RS6 wich is getting mapped and air filter fitted at the end of the month by MRC, between 680hp - 720hp and 900 - 1000nm all for £1300 including a box to hide the fact its been mapped if you go back to dealer.

They are an expensive car to buy but running costs will be considerably cheaper than the GTR, it doesn't need serviced everyday and it doesn't need to go to a 'specialist' for servicing. you cant get a GTR up to that power for that money i dont think (however i may be wrong)

I love the GTR but i prefer the RS6 IMO, its far more classy than a big old 'Rice Rocket'  :signLOL:

Mate where are you getting this money? Can you get me a job? . Personally the RS6 is a nicer car however as a toy/ weekend car the GTR's are amazing, I've had a passenger ride in a 675bhp and it was unreal and at Silverstone there were about 12 of them flying round.

If it was my money I'd think about buying a GTR and a diesel daily, an A6/ A4/ Octavia or something like that. Then you can play with the GTR (easy 600bhp +) and not have to run it every day.

Also I would have thought you'd lose quite a bit in depreciation on the RS6 compared the the GTR's which arnt dropping so muchm

Either way though I want a passenger ride  :happy2:

Weekend toy would be GTR, but I love the RS6. There is a video on YouTube of a 700bhp one racing a ZX10! Seriously fast car!

The GTR is naff in my eyes compared to the Audi . Everything on the Audi is Excellent whereas the Nissan only has an engine .

I can sort of see what you mean but its more than just the engine its the entire drivetrain, the engine/ 4WD/ gearbox are all fantastic. They're nothing special inside (which is where the Audi and Nissan are worlds apart) looks wise I think they're about even since they each have a different style but as a toy the GTR is king. If you can only ever have 1 car then the RS6 all day but if you had both on the drive and you wanted to hit up some B roads on a Sunday afternoon I'd get on the GTR every time.

They are two entirely different beasts each fulfilling two entirely different objectives so which one to chose will depend on what you, personally, are looking for.

Think my mind isn't going to be made up easily! Think I need to get out and see a few more. RS6 with a map will beat a stock GTR hence my slight feeling to go with one of them!

Yeh, that is a big consideration. I'd be more comfortable with the RS6 but the sheer power of the GTR eats away at you. But with a map......

Mate where are you getting this money? Can you get me a job? . Personally the RS6 is a nicer car however as a toy/ weekend car the GTR's are amazing, I've had a passenger ride in a 675bhp and it was unreal and at Silverstone there were about 12 of them flying round.

Lol when one comes! Mate needs to take me out in his first!! Although he doesn't drive it properly one bit. Telling me he got 400 miles out of one tank!! Yeh cool.

Weekend toy would be GTR, but I love the RS6. There is a video on YouTube of a 700bhp one racing a ZX10! Seriously fast car!

Company car next year so can flex out a bit, RS6 I like cos mates and I Can mess round but still go on trips abroad without being packed in etc. Arghh, choices!!

The GTR is naff in my eyes compared to the Audi . Everything on the Audi is Excellent whereas the Nissan only has an engine .

Hehe my thoughts exactly but something says keep looking at the GTR

I will have a daily from work next year. I need the mix of practical and fast and the RS6 gives both, but the GTR is good for the back boot which tbh is main concern.....can it take my kit wherever i'm going if I don't need to take the daily!

But the choice is soooooo hard!!

I seen the other EVO videos too. RS6 is slightly slower. The cornering one was interesting. But with a map wonder what it would do.
