I've been on this forum for over a year now so thought I would finally do a post about my ride.
I had always wanted a GTI so I finally got round to getting one about 18 months ago and have been on the slippery slope of mods since.
So I found a 5 door on a 55 plate in pearl black with FSH. As standard it came with leather interior, sunroof, winter pack and aftermarket Pioneer stereo which sounds pretty good with the 10 vw speakers that are in the car. The car also had 18" Monzas.
After having it a couple of months it went into AMD for a full service and came out with some extra bits lol.
Mods so far include:
Stage 1 map
Pipecross air filter
Milltek cat back exhaust
New cam follower
DV+ valve
So it was time for a few visual mods so I had the wheels powder coated in gloss black with sparkles in the lacquer and added a new vw badges in black to front and rear. Along came R32 rear lights, smoked indicators and eyebrows for the front lights. I also painted the lip white.
I decided to bling up my interior trim so prised it off and covered it in zebra print.
I had the roof vinyl wrapped in zebra print just after christmas as I wanted my car to be unique and it matches my quirkyness lol.
It has a service recently and I had leaky shocks and and other issues so I upgraded to the Bilstein B12 pro kit, Super Pro anti lift kit and while I was at it had the cam belt and water pump changed.
The pro kit has lowered it slightly but not too much as there are loads of speed humps where I live. It definitely feels better to drive, the ride is firmer and the steering is less 'loose'. Just need to take it down the lanes
Nothing else planned for now.
