TDi to GTi Brakes
« on: May 18, 2015, 10:43:20 am »
Apologies for the thread I know this topic has come up before but dont want to hi jack and thread search hasn't giving me the info I need. I have a 1.9 TDi 105PD and am collecting part to upgrade to the GTi front brake set up. I have the calipers, carriers, pads, disks and 55mm hubs.

I am trying to source a 50-55mm adapter but cannot for the life of me source one. Anyone have any ideas where i can get one?

What adapter are you looking for? For the dampers? I preferred to upgrade my dampers.

TO be totally honest mate Im not 100% sure, Ive been informed to upgrade the brakes i need the following things:

50-55mm hub adaptors
55mm hubs
calipers
Carriers
Hoses
Disks

Now i have all of them parts except for the hub adaptors and cannot for the life of me find where to get hold of one.

Probably the adapters are for the dampers. If your dampers aren't new might as well upgrade them, since you're changing those parts and paying for labor and steering alignment.
