My car used to screech/squeal briefly on deceleration or occasionally when it was idling. Replaced the PCV as mentioned above and it cured the problem  :happy2:

I did type to take the dipstick out but network kept on throwing me out. As doylebros said and posted a link so he was correct.

pcv failure.

Not 100% yet but does sound similar I'm still taking it back to amd just to clarify thanks to all all you hopefully this is it God knows how much it will be be got to be cheaper than dsg failed

Yep it does when I pull out stick it stops and sounds like it's going to stall engine but if I buy a Pcv delete will that stop noise or will I still have to buy a new Pcv

Probably cheaper or as cheap to buy the latest PCV from VW or TPS. Don't bother with a delete unless you go the whole hog and buy a full PCV delete Vent-to-Atmosphere kit from R-Tech

The latest PCV valve will be fine and will last many thousands of miles, the early/original parts were a lot more prone to failure
