Fueling issue??
« on: May 21, 2015, 12:41:04 am »
Hi, looking really for a second opinion on this log. Was told that its dangerous for the car to be showing a max of 25% in either blocks 001 and 033 and in this log I am seeing the max in both blocks.

I have logged my fuel rail pressure and all is good so why are blocks 001 and 033 maxed? Also block 031 is in order too.

I am running stage 2 revo on B8 T3 F9 (v-power) with revo intake and decat downpipe.

Could anyone shed some light on this. The car feels great and I am getting good mpg (35+) when driving normal.

Many thanks.

+25% is the maximum lambda enrichment, so yes, it can be dangerous as the ECU has no other enrichment options after that.

What numbers do you see in block 032 for idle and part throttle long term trims?  They should be tiny, < 2.0% on a good motor.

If the rail pressure isn't too low in boost, you might have an exhaust leak upstream of the main O2 sensor, which the ECU is compensating for.  Block 001 is live (unlike 032) and maxxed out lambda is not good.

There are a few topics floating around with logs in which i had a look at earlier. The trims are fine (not less than 2%, but even standard cars are rarely under 2%)

Block 032 is idle and part throttle/load, nothing at al lto do with WOT

Rail pressure is fine, LPFP is fine, MAF readings look ok although perhaps a teeny bit low, but not 25% low...... The issue is simply not enough fuel. The car is on the limit of the injection window on standard injectors with 110bar rail pressure. Increasing the injection pressure (stage 2+ map and an upgraded HPFP) would bring the injection window down and there would be no need for the ECU to attempt Lambda enrichment

So what do you think i should do, i am going to uprate the fuel pump as soon as. For the mean time i will turn my boost down to B6
