Flat tyre query need advice
« on: May 21, 2015, 03:59:10 pm »
My wife has just got back to our car after being at work (Mk5 Golf GTi '56 model) and started to drive off and heard a strange noise combined with the tyre pressure warning light appearing on the dash. She said there is also a "skid mark" warning light come up as well which I take to be the anti-skid light.

Turns out the tyre is completely "on the floor"flat. She tried to pump it up but to no avail at the petrol station next door to where the car was parked. Recovery truck now on the way.

Anyway my question is does anti-skid light usually appear when such things happen or is this something totally separate ?

Any advice as always is greatly appreciated.  :happy2:

It could be the tyre was so flat it was playing havoc with the ABS system?
