A direct-shift gearbox (German: Direkt-Schalt-Getriebe), commonly abbreviated to DSG, is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox.

Hence your point is invalid! :P And Im not old yet!

I've got a manual and my brother has a DSG Ed30, the DSG is a pretty amazing box but I'd still not swap my manual for DSG.

Some of these comments are hilarious, most high end performance cars are "Autos" now, therefore must be all for girls/old people. Its a personal preference, I enjoy both manuals as well as the DSG, but for me right now with my circumstances DSG is the best gearbox.

Wasn't looking for an auto but mine came up at the right time at a very good price so i couldn't say no.

Haven't looked back since, the DSG is amazing.

In drive mode you won't even feel gear changes, then sport mode it still revs high and pulls really well.

I love my manual and the clutch is so light on these cars that town driving is no problem at all. I would like a go in a DSG though.

I have got a dsg and love it but you can drive it as a manual if you want
As long as the oil is changed when it should should not give you any problems
