Bonnet alignment issues
« on: May 09, 2015, 10:41:24 pm »
I've got a bit of a strange problem my bonnet has randomly popped out of place. I've never shut anything under it and I'm always very cautious when opening and closing it. The things I have tried with a bit of research is tweeting the hinge and replacing bonnet hydraulic strut. I'm completely stumped can someone shed some more light as it was fine one day and out of place the next. Is there anything more I can do? Pics below show where it's out of place.

Problem solved!! Had to change the drivers side hinge but now all lined up correctly  :happy2: according to my local tps this is quite a common problem but no1 seems to have the same issue on here.

I've never had this problem on mine. My guess was it might of been related with hinges. Well done on problem solving  :happy2:

Mine does it but only very slightly, I just push it back down and it stays there
How hard can it be?

Happens after opening the bonnet.I just push it down again.

I had someone look at it and they tried to push it down but no luck, they told me the hinge had bent to much to adjust. I got a quote of £136 so thought I would give it a go myself which has done the trick.
