Ed30 or Full leather

Ed 30 seats are marmite, either you love them or hate them.
Anyone changed them for full leather and what do people prefer?

Every time I sit in an Ed30, I feel awkward in the seats.... Can't wait to get back to my slippy slidey full leather!

I'm not keen on marmite, but I like my ED30 flavour wingbacks

I went from cloth to full leather to Ed30

In my opinion the ED30 are the best of all 3

So much for keeping it standard!

On an ED30 definitely ED30 leather/cloth mix has to remain , it would seriously put me off buying one if it hadn't .

All leather is ok , but with VW leather it's covered in plastic?? so you cannot treat or restore it and its only the faces of the seats that are leather anyway ..

100% agree with Garrarddj. On an ED30 it would have to be the leather & cloth combination as its a tradional part of the car and not something that found on a normal GTi. Although out of all 3 seating types I prefer full leather which is what we have in ours.  :happy2:

Full leather for me in my Gti although if you can actually fond a Gti with cloth in nice unworn condition I almost prefer it, my 1st mk5 Gti had cloth which was imaculate and loved it

Ed30 has to be original though and the half leather is a nice compromise too
Id like leather bolsters with the Gti cloth tartan centres if I could!

Hmm mixed concensus then. I think im going to ditch it for now and go full leather. Much prefer the slippery feel than the tartan cloth.
