Would you still reccomend one now Damien, after a while of ownership? Any afterthoughts or regrets?

That's great mate, can you confirm yours is in a mk5 GTI? I'm getting a lot of sellers telling me they don't fit?

I know, crazy! I even emailed Eonon & they refused to confirm that there model would fit, stating that it was for 2007>
Even though I've read reviews of them in MK5 gti's! All I wanted was to confirm what warranty was included.

Im thinking of getting one, how compatable is it with older canbus? I have an 05 golf gt tdi that won't work with an rns315 giving massive battery drain.
Is this the one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/201400186007

Does this hu have DAB?
I'm looking at a version that appears to, although it looks like you do this via an in-line USB receiver.

Otherwise, great right ups.   Convincing me to buy one!

I had one, it was very impressive the list it promised..
Sat nav, android, BT, the whole lot, unfortunately it didn't really "work" in real life, ie when you stop & turn the car off with Spotify it used to re start? I mean that's not really good enough if you can't use it like a CD player. Sound quality isn't great compared to premium brands obviously. It's such a shame as its all there, but it's just not quite the finished item IMO, but if you can live with the niggles then there a bargain!

Got myself a Joying branded Android HU a few weeks ago...reasonably impressed with it so far :)

DAB is on my list, but it looks like it takes a bit of messing about. You need to buy a particular USB DAB tuner with the right type of chip, then buy an app called Wavesink. The interface looks horrible though.

Damn.  I hoped it would be easier.
I've had mk 7 Golf hire cars recently and love the DAB set up there, will look into it.
