The ED30 is 8yr old today , it was serviced and mot on Friday , it has got me thinking about the age of the battery if I remove the battery will i need to find the RNS security code ? Thx

Is the radio factory fit? If so then you'll be ok, won't need the code

I changed my battery early last year and the radio was fine. All I had to do was, re-set the windows 'one shot' - push the window switch down and hold for a few sec then pull it up and hold for a few sec. do each one in turn. Also when you have started the engine, move the steering wheel from lock to lock to re set the steering sensor. This is what I found from reading this forum.

We replaced it around three years ago with a newer version think it was a B and now its F

You'll probably need the code then. Although the IM sure when I changed my battery I didn't have to put the code back in. Just swap it quickly.
