Thinking of changing from revo to rtech
« on: June 01, 2015, 10:25:15 am »
Anyone made the change over from revo to rtech?
If so was it worth it?

first thing i would ask is what car do you have and what stage of tune are you at with it

ie what mods

@Little_Dave recently swapped from revo to rtech the cars bhp was about the same but the 40 lb/ft torque made it worth the swap

dave's is an s3 so basically the same engine i would say you would benefit the same as him dave wanted dsg mapped so it worked out 150 quid more for both over the revo dsg software on its own so he paid £150 for 40lb/ft of torque a bargain  :happy2:

you will need a hpfp and rs4 valve

my ed30 stage 2+ is tuned by r-tech 364bhp - 405 lb/ft

cant recommend them enough

Yeah I might go stage 2 + with revo now and see how the car feels once it's all set up and then if I'm still not happy with it I'll go rtech as its only £60 to go stage2+

Plus launch control haha

He will still map it, but as Dan has said, he's not keen on them as a product (he's not all that keen on any of the current Forge products )

they also won't touch mine now it has an gfb dv+... apparently it leaks but sure that was the older version which they've since replaced. i go to amd now, much friendlier and straight to the point imo

You say you're not happy. In what way and how will going 2+ cure that?

Throwing money at it is your prerogative but if it was me I would need to know why first.

Just out of interest Dan, is this a proven fact or is this just your opinion?? what have you had experience with to say they are poor / not what you expected?
