oil in diverter valve
« on: June 04, 2015, 08:55:15 pm »
I'm after any advice/knowledge.

Yesterday I removed my dv to see if everything was ok. But when I unplugged the dv and oil started to leak from the connector.
I done some research and everything pointed to the pcv.
But I followed a guide to do some tests to see if there was something wrong with it. But everything seems to be fine.
I'm now at a lost end and not sure what to look at next.

Any information on this would me much appreciated

I'm not convinced that the usual tests for a failed PCV always work.
I was getting some lack of performance, rougher idling etc, so I tried the test with no significant results.
When I took it off (easy job) it was obvious it was leaking. Changed it for the latest revision and all well again.
They are a known 'fail point' so worth changing. Do get a new gasket though.
