Dent Repair
« on: July 02, 2015, 09:25:48 am »
As most of u know i have OCD. I have a dent above the passenger side rear window. U can see the light reflecting in it (see pic)

Can i gain access to the back of this and tap it out?

I think that would need a fill job and a repaint job. Its the Strongest part of the car and cannot see it being very weak for the dent to push out.

I'll confess that i don't know what your options are with that but i would echo the above that i'm surprised to see a dent there as it is one of the stronger parts of the body work. The roof panel is like tin foil and easily dents but that bit is solid as (being a tin top) its an integral part of the car's structural & torsional rigidity.

You could try calling a Dent Master out and see if he can work his magic?

I Would also say get a reputable dent chap to take a look
Local dent guy to me is an absolute wizzard with most of them, if he can get access behind it he can usually sort it  :happy2:

Had a dent in the door on mine and the people glued a puller to the door and attached a slide hammer, when all was finished you could not see they had been there or any sign of the dent.
