Reminds me of when I came off a roundabout onto a dual carriageway at my local race track. The car behind me put his foot down and so did I, in doing so I was slowly leaving him until 80mph I backed off due to the other half nagging me and he went thundering past. The car in question was a Vauxhall Monaro VXR. I was chuffed and very surprised. Totally standard fully laden car as well!

I've had a nice one against a mk7 Golf R, the guy pulled up to me afterwards and was like what's in that thing lol
The noises my car makes with the older forge cai is awesome when driving along, gets me in all sorts of hoonage with other modded cars.

I didn't have my S4 standard for long, but it never felt faster than my mapped ED30, the power comes in very linear from low down.
With the 3.0 TFSI, the power excels at the top end.
Now I have it at stage2, I'm definitely not interested in a road race when I see someone egging me on, it gets stupid fast very quickly.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

I would have thought it would have pulled away. 333bhp vs 250

That's what's 4WD and extra weight will do though, I've found up to about 100 the GTI can keep up with a lot of stuff.

How are they like to drive compare to the eddy? Is it a boring drive minus the power?
Cheers

I had my eddy standard for a bit when for sale, and it wasn't that exciting, so the S4 avant doesn't feel that numb to me in comparison.

It has more RWD bias than a haldex car too.

I don't think most people buy it to hammer about in as unless you need something so big, stick with a hatchback for nimble fun factor. for me I have a young boy and a very pregnant wife, so switching it into comfort mode is important to me for pottering about.

I would say the supercharger vs lack of turbo is the biggest fun reducing factor I have noticed.
