Who wants some Eibach Pro-Kit springs? I've got some for sale (not advertised yet).

Am only selling them because I now have VWR-KW-V3 suspension.

Not sure what you mean by the liner screw and where the tab is.   Can some one please elaborate?

I've had a look and can see there is a single screw which holds the plastic housing in the wheel arch. 

P.S.  With the screw removed won't that leave the bits to move around at high speed?

Thanks for the intro RedRobin.  Marked you for the referral - not sure what it does though.

Got a couple of questions about your mods - since you're a bit more progressed in your modding pursuits.  What's the best way to contact you? I'm particularly interested about the Quiffe differential and REVO2.

dunno if this will help mojo, but i have just fitted -20mm KW springs but i'm wanting lower. can't afford coilovers just yet and to be honest springs are fine for me. could swap the springs over? helps us both out. no worries if not.

broke, thank you for extending the offer to swap springs.

The thought of going to a garage to get the springs changed again and the alignment checked...is a bit too much for me at the moment.

I'm generally happy with the Eibach springs - just want to get to the bottom of the occasional rubbing noise.

I'm hoping someone will explain in a bit more detail how to do the liner screw and the tab fix (mentioned a couple of posts earlier).  :signIWS:

Thanks BACILLUS, very useful.

Just got to buy myself a Torx kit and try it out.  The alternative would be to put a 10mm or less spacer above the springs.  I do remember when the springs were being changed that we didn't need to compress the springs - they just slotted in.

I'll give the liner screw thing a whirl... but I'd be keen to hear the pros and cons of adding a spacer to the spring.

....I'm not an expert in such matters (though I know a man who is!) but I'd be very concerned about the spacer's behaviour under load. Springs are very carefully designed and their length is a consideration. My VWR-KW-V3 coilover springs are longer than stock KW-V3's and their rating and length has been consciously arrived at through development.

OK, if I get this right the general impression is that spacers are a no, no!

Just got off the phone with Eibach and they are bemused by my scrubbing problem.  They have told me they have sold over 80 of the specific sportline springs (last year) with not a single customer coming back enquiring about the scrubbing noise.

RedRobin/Bacillus: I take it you have your cars lowered by a fair margin.  Do you get the occasional scrubbing/thud when driving enthusiastically?
