Radio code
« on: June 12, 2015, 01:27:44 pm »
In need of a radio code for my Blaupunkt RCD300 as I'm hoping to replace my dads knackered RCD300 in his golf, don't fancy been charged £20+ by VW or a car audio shop so does anyone have an idea where I can get a code from the serial number online or by someone for a small charge?

I've looked on eBay but any I've found want me to send the unit to them and I don't want to do that if I can help it.

I just used ebay to get the code for £9.99 last 2 weeks for my rcd500 after VW quoted for £26 to get the code.

Seller is buy54321gone

The code works fine when I sold the radio.
You just need to give the seller the serial number of the radio. That's it.

Hope it helps.

Not to worry now guys, i got it done for £10 believe it or not at VW but if Rich's guy can do them at that price or cheaper it may still be worth keeping the thread alive or possibly starting a new thread in the 'Group Buy' or 'Sale' Sections?

Did you have the Headunit in the car when they got the code? or can they do it with the HU removed?

VW can get you any radio code if you give them the VIN of the original car where the HU came from and the radio serial number. I got the code of my RNS-510 version A from VW for free because I spent so much money on parts the guys there of the Parts Department talked to the radio tech guy to give me the code.

Anyone that works or has a contact inside can get the code, so maybe those who get the codes have a contact inside, or something. I've seen Radio Code Crackers online as well but not for our generation radios, just for the mk4, I think.
