So I took the wheels off and gave them a deep clean and a little polish, before coating them in some Carpro CQUK I had spare.

I also managed to pick up a spare wheel, 2nd hand in very good condition at a very good price

I've put my winter wheels on for a couple of days while the CQUK cures, I also wanted to check I'd have enough clearance with the big brakes

I also took the opportunity to clean and polish the calipers - hopefully they'll stay bright red longer and be easier to keep clean

Looks awesome Geoff  :happy2:

I still can't believe how well priced the PP was from new. My mates got a silver 3door DSG PP GTI on a 63' and he got it for £20.5k earlier this year. Incredible value - I now can't find any DSG GTi's under £22k really, give or take a suspicious ad.

Very fond of these - enjoy it  :happy2:

The Black monza's look surprisingly well on the MK7, think that's the first combo of that kind I've seen, at all. Wonder if on the darker coloured MK7's the 19" Monza's would also visually please, too  ...

34mpg - you've not tried the launch control at the traffic lights yet, nah?
My mate gets 42mpg on his 25mile night shift commute (which I think is bang on average MPG figures for the DSG PP). Can't really moan at that.

They are my winter wheels off the old MK5, I just had them powder coat black, the bright silver didn't work, I like these, makes it look harder

Stunning car and I have to say there is something about white GTi's that I love the look of, whether its a Mk5, 6 or 7 they just look great imho.
