I would really appreciate some help and guidance with the rns510 installed in my 58 plate golf.
Firstly, I've accessed the secret menu and the HW version says h03. I also have a loud speaker symbol and I on the button to the right of the cd slot. Does this mean I have a version b unit?
Secondly, the SW version says 1100 and map version says 6317. Do I need to upgrade firmware to install the latest maps? And what other benefits would I get from upgrading few?
Thirdly, is it possible to upgrade this unit with dab radio?
And lastly, the unit didn't come with a security code. The dealer told me as its in the car it's registered with the car. Is this true? If I upgraded or disconnected the battery would I need the code?
