painting parking sensors
« on: June 25, 2015, 09:07:49 pm »
Hi Ive got some parking sensors from ebay for 70 pounds flush fitted. Dont fancy doing the job myself due to the drilling and wiring involved. I have found someone who will fit them for £100 but wants £30 for painting.

I am planning on detailing the car soon so wondered is it ok to install parking sensors unpainted and then paint them at a later date?

Also is £100 a fair price for fitting as I have been quoted £250 from places who supply, install and paint the sensors

It's one of those jobs that you need faith in who is doing it for you. Done badly and it'll wreck the look of the car done right and it takes time. I think @RetroRaz can do the install as he is fairly close to you and he'd do it right. Paint shouldn't be too hard but I'd suggest getting it done before installing it as it'll be a cleaner job than masking around when on the car  :happy2:
