Can WOT shifting damage the car

Seen a few people doing it curious to try but dont wish to ruin my car in any way.

You can't just keep your foot planted on the GO pedal, dip your clutch and snatch another gear.
Anyone doing WOT gear changes will have some sort of module fitted which will cut the ignition (spark) or fuel (injectors) when you press the clutch down.

Not sure if there's one available specifically designed for the tfsi engine but there usually called a WOT BOX and you normally get the option of having a 2 step rev limiter with it to which is a form of launch control I think?

If your interested then I wouldn't bother buying a universal one and trying to add it your car as it might not work or may do more harm than good.
