Probably a stupid question but I saw an a5 tfsi bottom end advertised and it said in the add that it's different to the manual one...

I've just saw a mk5 gti bottom end for sale removed from a dsg car but mine is manual so just want to be certain there not different before I bother going to look at it.

Also the bottom end I'm interested in is a BWA engine and I'd be using the head off my current engine AXX will it work?

Need help guys lol and ASAP  :happy2:

Bottom end fits and AXX head fits on BWA engine, but all aux. has to be transferred from you current engine as you have longitudinal and the other is transverse  :happy2:

The bwa short motor I'm interested in isn't from the a5 I just saw that advertised and is stated that dsg block was somehow different to manual so assumed that most tfsi blocks are pretty much all the same

The bwa I'm interested in is from a mk5 golf gti and will be going into a mk5 gti so shouldn't need to swap that over?

So 100% my AXX head will fit? And it will doesn't matter if it's DSG going on a manual?

Basically I had AXX engine then bought BWA from breakers down south which in the end up the head was goosed so got my original head (AXX) got it skimmed and used the valves from (BWA) to repair my original head so (AXX) head went onto (BWA) bottom end so all was looking sweet and work was coming closer to the end
Fitted engine was slight Miss fire cylinder 2 then problems with oil pressure so after several months of saving money to keep trying to repair it and cost down the oil pressure was repaired that was all good then about 2months later started viberating shaking pretty bad so changed coil packs and plugs at times it calmed down then gets worse in time still misfire cylinder2  so thought might be fuel injector changed that with seals then BOOM no f*****g changes

Dsg and manual bottom ends are compatible with both style of gearbox

Axx and bwa heads and bottom ends are both interchangeable with each other

Have you had vcds scan done on your car? If your still getting a misfire on cylinder 2 after changing plugs, coil pack and injector then the next thing to do is a compression test

Where abouts are you located? If your not too far from me then I'd be happy to come and have a look at it.
