Rough expected bhp figures??
« on: July 13, 2015, 11:58:02 pm »
With my car not far off finished I'll be looking at booking in for a map ASAP
It's already mapped but My mate (previous owner) was told by Awesome GTi to get it off as its not great?

It's currently running a pipewerx decat, auto tech intake and ecs red coil packs.
Engine has just undergone a complete strip combining a BWA bottom end with the original AXX head .

It's had new cambelt kit, water pump, oil strainer, oil, filter, new genuine plugs, new cam follower, new oil strainer, latest DV, pcv, new Sachs clutch kit etc etc so I'd give it a clean bill of health.

Also had the head stripped and intake valves cleaned.

What bhp figures could I expect with an R tech map with the listed mod's? Is it worth adding anything to the spec before going that isn't going to dramatically break the bank?

It'll make whatever it is capable of making - that's why Niki won't quote exact figures. You're probbaly looking at 250-260hp at a guess, maybe a touch more, who knows. Full exhaust and a decent intercooler would help matters but it depends how much you want to shell out for another few HP
