Big brake kit without spacers?
« on: June 29, 2015, 10:52:24 pm »
What are the options for big brake kits that fit without spacers under 18" VW alloys?

Porache nqsbbk would be my vote.
10 piston is laughably showy and rubbish!

Think ttrs ones fit too with the 370mm discs but not sure haha
I use a 12mm spacer with the adaptors to take a 340mm disc.

I think the TTRS setup sits the same regardless of disc option. Which happens to be to far out for most wheels.

NQSBBK requires spacers still

With OEM wheels, not with TD 1.2, OZ, and the like, I think.

Sorry, I forgot the initial question. :ashamed:

That RS4 setup looks awesome. Other than that I'd go for the R32 front and rear with better pads and discs.

Cheers guys, I quite like NQSBBK or TTRS options but really don't want to go down route of using spacers. The RS4 setup could be hard to source? and I guess very expensive new
It might just have to be the R32 fronts then and try find some 2-piece discs.

ECS tuning do a 2 piece disc but its pricey! If you go R32 fronts, just get some j-hook design discs through AKS Tuning and some really good pads.

Probably same reason as me, the taboo of using them scares many people off them. Plus all the other effects they have like arch clearance ect. is another off putting part about them.

I know that a 3/5mm spacer is nothing but still... Just don't like the idea of using them if I don't have to.
