DV Revision G or D for stage 2+ Or aftermarket
« on: July 01, 2015, 11:43:47 am »
Hi all
Need advice with diverted valve for stage 2+ Edition 30.
Do I need a standard G or D.
I have heard that mapped cars require an aftermarket valve.
What's best to use
All the best  :driver:

I've used G, D & a GFB DV+ on my mapped ED30 and they've all worked fine for me, despite the common reports of the D type "leaking".

One thing I did notice with my DV+ was a bit of compressor surge, but after a strip down, clean up and re-oil of the piston, all is good again.

If you use a G, I think you might need a stronger spring if running high boost.  I believe R Tech are looking into that.

used to be D as it was stronger (plastic) but being plastic didn't seal as well as rubber type

latest and greatest is G, no need for modding it, the dv fills with boost and holds itelf shut - more boost more strength  :happy2:

Thanks for the replies
The car must have a G fitted I'm sure.
As its ran stage 2+ for the last 10,000 miles.
I'll get it home and check what's fitted and inspect it for wear.

I think revision G is the preffered DV for high power, but they all have their pro's and cons. Stick with whatever your tuner says to use as per their mapping.

I recently checked what version my car was running and it's a D. Worth changing to a G? I'm stock at the moment and car performs very well.

Not really, just keep an eye on it and if your engine starts to loose power then swap it to a new D or G, either one will do.

Just checked mine at home and it's a D
It's operation was fine my car boosts to just over 20psi.
This won't get changed, will be visiting R Tech soon for new map and DSG map also
Currently running Revo. Last power graph showed 360ish hp and torque.

What is the part number for the Revision G?, I need one and do not have a part number to hand?

Also would a Rev G fit an AXX Engine?
