Exhaust question... 3/5 door fitment same???

Hi all,
Just come across a good 3" turbo back full ss system, I'm sure I've read before that the 3 and 5 door exhaust fitment is the same but want to make sure. Mine is a 5 door dsg and the exhaust is off a manual 3 door. Can't see it being any different but nice to have confirmation.
