Hi everyone,

I found it a bit annoying that when you flash your headlights when xenons are on that the shutter opens AND the halogens come on.

I tried to code this out but found that the halogens would completely disable, even when the xenons are off, they act as flash to pass. Didn't think this was safe for the ballast as you're not letting the bulb to light fully.

I found a way how to get Halogens as flash to pass when lights are off and when only sidelight is on, and ONLY the shutters open when flashing to pass when the xenons are on.

NOTE: it has to be OEM xenons and you need the shutter wires run from pin 11 from the headlights to the CECM

Hope the video below will help anyone who wants to do this.

done this using the video and mine was a little different

it would not let me untick bi xenon so i could select it again
my flash to pass box is left unticked
and my running lights are byte 20 and was on 92x1 i changed it to 1x1

i think that was all

but they are working the same as yours are :)

Nice one Dan.  Might  be slightly different depending on which cecm version you have.  I done my method on 2 cars which were both 05 so might even be a year thing as well

Hmm any guide on how to get to the CECM? I've got my cables under the passenger glove box area just not sure where to go from there!

Will do all that you've got above though!  :happy2:

Run the wires behind the ashtray area and to the drivers side footwell.  The cecm is above the gas pedal in the corner.
