I would love to have a go at doing the 1/4 mile but I suppose they only use a timer and not a calendar?

What an awesome day, cant count how many runs i did but my best was a 14.4, so with a new inatke and pump i rekon itl be in the 13's  

....Comparing yours with mine, Joe, I did a 14.8 but Jonny did a 14.0 in mine, so both of us K03's should manage an under 14 with practice and the right conditions.

had a nightmare trip home, was caught by the fuzz on the toll road doing silly figures   managed 3 points and a 60 quid fine, (which i believe is very fair) then for the rest of the way i couldnt get over 60 because the british public dont seem to be able to use the 'inside' lane!!  

....What a bummer! Really sorry to hear that but good you took it like a man.

I had plenty of those middle lane hoggers too - They just don't have a clue. I find that rushing up on the inside lane but not actually undertaking sometimes wakes them up - They can't help but see the DRL's.

....Sort of! I enjoyed it but I intend to just run my car exactly how I do normally rather than different tyres or taking the back seat out etc. I'll probably stop when I eventually get down to a time I can't manage to beat. I've got a lot to improve on my starts.

Looks like it was a decent meet, slightly spoiled by the strip conditions.

I'd have loved to have been there despite the conditions as it is always good to meet up and talk shop whilst having some in-car fun at the same time

12.9 for JonnyC ain't half bad given that in the vids I could still hear the car spinning up nearly halfway down the run

....I'm not bothered about reaction times yet - It doesn't matter how soon you get off the line. Anyway, that was the time I cocked it up. I'm going to try it without Launch Control another time just to see.

This time last year Robin would not even consider parking next to a track, now he is planning his way round Europe.

It's largely thanks to the encouragement and support of people here that I am now an event junkie. I'm a late starter though - Didn't get married until my late 30's and no children until my 40's, the Ring/Spa/Pod in my 60's. What am I going to do in my 70's!?

You in particular, TC, have always praised my efforts in spite of me occasionally irritating you by posting complete bollox

Robin you wind a lot of people up on here with your ways, that goes without saying. 
But you are part of the furniture.    and a big chunk of what gives this place its flavour, and a big character.
 I know you have had a few jabs to the ribs lately, but as you know that's part of being you.
You are a bit to old to be changing now  but to be honest i think we would all lose something if you did.
