Short Term Intake Solution
« on: July 19, 2015, 04:52:43 pm »
Hi All,

The car has been sounding a bit weird the last few days, so on more inspection I found the standard intake was cracked right at the front of the airbox part which attaches behind the grill. I am going to replace it or get an aftermarket Intake however in the meantime I have fitted the below solution as a short terms fix which has got rid of the weird noise.

I want to confirm this short terms solution(say no more than a couple of weeks) is okay to run on until I fit a replacement OEM intake or aftermarket one. I gave it a test drive in both D and S and gave it some rev and was totally fine. Actually sound a bit louder and better when putting my foot down.

This is a similar solution to the BMC CDA intake, so it'll be fine to run for as long as you need. :happy2:
