wing rust
« on: July 20, 2015, 05:17:04 pm »
Another wing rust issue. Purchased a 2007 Got back in March from a main dealer under was belt auto, as such holds a warranty until March 2o16. After cleaning today noticed I have some arch bubbling argh!

Disappointed I didn't notice this on purchase or it has just got worse? Anyway do I just contact my nearest main dealer to get the ball rolling or do I need to contact a VW body shop.

Car has FSH some stamps are VW specialist and were good enough for it to be approved used so guess this won't be an issue?

Cheers

Get to your local VW garage, they will instruct you whether they can deal with it there or not.  Personally I wouldn't take anything less than 100% contribution.  Good luck. :happy2:

Well so far all pain free, contacted dealer who called back within the hour to confirm that they are liable. Body shop contacted me and are sending someone out to visit the car at my home address. Once they have pics etc said it will take couple of weeks for approval and were off.
Body shop representative said as car is under 10 years old Vw will cover 100% on goodwill, as long as rust source is inside eating out, well no doubts regarding that.
