996TT BBK Vs. TTRS BBK
« on: July 20, 2015, 06:28:45 pm »
I am looking at getting a BBK for my ed30 as the standard brakes don't quite cut it!
I don't have a massive budget as I'm only 18 so I want to try and keep the cost down as much as possible!

Which BBK has the best choice of pads/disks?

Which has the best braking power?

And what's the overall cost for a full kit? (I've took a guess at about £800-1000?)

If anyone has any other suggestions on a different BBK feel free to say!

@mvb12 you've had both right?

Normally to put a decent 4pot BBK together well its £1k+ but if you're lucky and shop around you can maybe get it done for £700 -£900. Depends how fussy you are regarding new pads/ discs and condition of the calipers.

I have the TTRS setup now and have also had std 312's and the R32 setup and they're in another league, so much stopping power. Can't compare them to any other 4pot kits though as I haven't experienced them.

Ive just fitted my TTRS kit, I think it was around £1k all in;

Refurbed calipers £400ish
Fitting kit/TTS Discs/Mintex Pads/HEL Braided Brake Lines £600ish

Depending on what gear you go for the price can fluctuate by a few hundred pounds either way.
