Mk6 climatronic problem
« on: July 05, 2015, 11:41:51 pm »
Just fitted a mk6 climatronic unit from bold sport to my 07 edition 30, did the pin 16 to 20 swap and it seems to work did the basic setting using the buttons and the ac kick in but when I go into vcds its throwing up 'No Signal/Communication - Intermittent' on both the CAN gateway and Auto HVAC, and when I try to go into Auto HVAC it says 'No Response From Controller'. Could this mean I need the newer CAN Gateway to communicate with the newer climatronic as mine being the pre 57 plate has the older 7N0907530K CAN gateway.
Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks for the input guys just ordered one off fleebay for £30 from Poland, its a 7N0907530AK so fingers crossed it will work because I have noticed that although the ac work after a few minutes the vent stop blowing air out so think it needs setting up with vcds.

That problem i also had!!! To fix that you have to solder the two flaps in parrallel, this connector!

To this

Hope you can see the colours on the wires!!!
After that everything is ok!!!

Do you have vcds? Check the old can gateway in vcds and take pictures of everything! Then simply change the can gateway and check the same boxes that the old one had checked.

On the black connector (picture on my last post) you move 7 and 8 to ? And ? , don't remember the numbers but you can see the wire colours! That is for parrallel connecting the two vents so air could come front mid dashboard.

Ok so iv fitted the can gateway and coded it no problems and iv connected the two flaps in parallel so the vents now open when ac is on. There's a few problems I have noticed, when the ac is on the vents are like blowing faster and slower?, the recirculation doesn't seem to do anything when pressed?(I bought the version without auto recirculation) and I have a few faults stored in Auto HVAC,
13701424 - function restricted due to missing message(s)?
13701456 - function restricted due to missing message(s)?
one other thing is the fan on the lowest setting is still quite fast?. How does everyone elses compare who have this fitted in a pre 57 with two flaps,
does any one know if doing the other wire swap in the small black terminal (On B Connector (black): Pin 6 to Pin 7) would cure any of my problems?

Been doing some more homework and iv found the fault codes are because I need newer dials and BCM I can live with that. iv been reading on the skoda forums http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/277700-step-by-step-retrofit-fl-climatronic-module-to-prefl/  (same setup as the golf) its seems if you have a two flap heater system found in the pre 57 golf then the mk6 climatronics wont function 100% the recirculation wont work, I can live no recirc but the noise it makes when ac is on needs sorting its like the flap inside is opening and closing making the air flow sound faster and slower, so going to try and play with the connector B (black) see if I can fix that.
