Ok, so now she is lifty i thought id best get some big stoppers.

We all know that bigger is better, so i bought myself a set of Porsche Cayenne 18z 6 pots.

I could have bought a refurbed set at £550 but i got a set for £340 needing refurbed, and it doesnt cost £210 to refurb them- so i bought them and stuff to rebuild em.

As bought;

Wanted to have the Brembo stickers fitted properly and before lacquering, so went down to Fife Powder Coating after they were coated red to fit stickers, before powder lacquering.

Done and looking pretty amazing!

Went about test fitting them with the specific bolt kit off Ebay (still standard discs) to see what spacers id need;

3mm spacers all it needs, giving the recommended 2mm clearance!

So, 3mm hubcentric spacers ordered and some Mk4 R32 front braided hoses which are a direct fit into caliper.

Will order some discs and pads at the start of the week and hopefully have the setup fitted by next weekend.

I swear this needs to be the last money i spend on it!!!

That looks awesome!

Do you have the Ebay link for the bolt kit?

Your calipers look awesome! And suit your wheels and GTI very well. :drool:

3 mm spacers is really good. I hope you don't get any rubbing afterwards. :smiley:

Rest of my brake parts came, so theyre fitted;

EBC Ultimax Discs.
Yellow Stuff pads.
HEL red coated braided lines to suit Brembo calipers.
Stance+ 3mm hubcentric spacers

The standard GTI brakes

Comparisons

And them on

Unfortunately the Merc discs are 1mm thinner on the face making the wheel too near the caliper, so Ive had to order 5mm Stance+ spacers to compensate, so no wheels on pictures yet!

Really nice car mate  :congrats:, My budget wouldn't stretch to a MK6 GTI so went for the Edition 30. can't wait to get it remapped!

Thanks chaps.

 I need to stop spending money on it for now, but will probably upgrade to S3 vented rears at some point over the winter..

Thanks, no its too easy to get carried away on the track! Ive had numerous track cars over the years, and its great fun, but thats for Clio 172 Cups etc. :)

Its just a weekend car/toy for me.
