Intake Air temp sensor

Hi all,

Having a bit of bad luck recently and I had to have the coilpacks replaced twice by the AA.

The second time the guy was a bit rough in taking the cover off (almost as if he was unaware of the sensors attached to the cover) and I don't know whether it is related but I'm now getting this fault code which is making the MIL come on (straight after he replaced the coilpack).


19490 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 (G299)
            P3034 - 002 - Signal too Large - MIL ON

Not on ross tech wiki, is it related? What should I check?

IMO change the sensor.
It's located at the front, middle of the intake manifold and very easy to change.

Thanks Bacillus. I looked and some wire was unplugged, plugged that in and it's all OK now. I didn't think the drive was effected but it's much better now.

Anyone got a picture or part number for replacement?
My ED30 keeps throwing a fit and going into limp/lumpy idle. I got recovered by AA too, 1st time they cleaned the sensor and it seemed to work but second time it was back with a vengeance.

Does the sensor that kind of rotates just separate from the cable and lug?

Part number is 06B 905 379D when I changed mine some time ago.
