Any reviews on eBay oem style headunits

I see loads on eBay that range from £170-240 from UK sellers. They look good.

Example item number 171177581356

Has anyone got one with iPod connection? How do you rate it?

Wombar and I have both done an android head unit review and both rate them! Oem style with plenty of options to customise as it's effectively a tablet with a decent GPS

Unfortunately the android one doesn't support iPods? But are they generally same quality and build spec?

I'm currently looking at the Eonon GA5153V.

Check out this thread on a mk6 forum.  Currently £315 on Eonon website, but the older version is cheaper.  Also the latest one is available cheaper on ebay.

Looks pretty good to me.

I have this one and I cannot fault it at all.  Menus are a lot more OEM looking than most and it's really fast and never have had it lag yet :).

Sat nav isn't too bad.  It uses iGo software and maps.  I've changed mine to Sygic though as I was used to it from my old satnav :).  I haven't actually used the mic yet so can't comment on that.

Hey Dan

How easy was it to fit? Did you have to take much of the dash apart to get it out? how does it work in terms of connecting to the cars computer? I've seen some of them include park distance and seat belt warnings, assuming this requires the highline dash? Is the sound quality as good as the oem?

Cheers
