How to flush engine coolant?
« on: August 15, 2015, 12:20:10 am »
Any ideas how to go about flushing the coolant so I can change it all?

Was thinking of draining from the lowest point then refill fill with distilled water, run can up to temp then drain from same place and keep doing that until water coming out is clear. Only thing is il not know how much water will be in the system to get the correct ratio.

That's pretty much the best way to flush the system, draining from the bottom of the radiator. In all honesty though, there's little need to flush the cooling unless you've had head gasket issues or some other problems with the cooling system.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
