Hi from a new GTI owner from Bucks!

Hi All

Although primarily a BMW 'M' car man, I've had a few Golf's in the past (2 x Mk4 GT TDI's, MK3 8v GTI and a MK4 R32) and always wanted a MK5 GTI ever since they came out but for one reason or another it never happened until now!

I bought it as a 'one car does all' but it's primary function is do to the 60 mile commute to work and back and so far I'm impressed! Its comfortable and refined and a very nice daily drive.  I think its quite nippy and quite similar in pace to my previous R56 Factory Mini JCW. I do think the exhaust note could sound better but overall very happy and impressed by it.   

Its in the optional extra colour of diamond black pearl with DSG.  It also has the leather and F/C/A along with the Winter and Luxury pack.  There's also a refrigerated glovebox.  Previous owner fitted an aftermarket SAT/NAV Media system which is pretty good!

Welcome aboard mate, looks like a very clean example you have there. 

I also have the same aftermarket headunit which Im really happy with as it looks retains the OE look for nearly half the price

Thanks mate,  yes very pleased with it. 

Agreed... really like the aftermarket media unit.

Think I need to add some rear tints to complete the look.

No other plans other than to keep it looking a nice clean example.

I'd like to add tints from the b pillar back to complete the look for me.

The other thing I'm seriously considering is having rear parking sensors fitted as I've had those on my previous cars now for so many years.  I find that when im reversing I keep expecting to hear the beeps!
