New wheels = New tyres
« on: December 17, 2009, 10:26:32 pm »
Some off you may have read my other thread about my new wheels!  :pomppomp: :jumping:
They are Audi S-line BBS Split Wheels. The specs are:
18inch, 7.5 wide and et of 54.
Now I want a little stretch on the tyres but they need to be perfectly safe for a daily drive. In the other thread it was suggest that I go for a 215/40/18.
Now what tyre would be best to go for? I have seen a set of Falken FK452's and they have good reviews. Anything better I should be looking at?
Also I would like spacers for the wheels to bring them out to the arches a bit more. Anyone know where to purchase these?
Cheers
Ollie  :happy2:

Also looking at the Toyo T1R Proxes.
There £20 more than the falkens.

Ive had the falkens and they are good for the money, 215 will have a nice bit of stretch on a 7.5'' and will be safe! The falkens are a good looking tyre too... can't comment on the toyo's

the t1r's are pretty poor in my opinion, good for a budget tyre, but i wouldnt run them again!

The Toyo's are poo mate, I would try and stay away! The Falken's get good reviews and they are a great price  :xmaspresent: :happy2:

Toyos are out!
That is what is attracting me to the falkens. Are there any better tyres? I can spend more if there will be considerable differences. I have read on tyre reviews that the falkens perform as well as higher priced tyres thats why I was looking at them!
