Manchester Area help needed. VCDS
« on: February 26, 2014, 07:29:49 pm »
Anyone in or around Manc this coming weekend before i take my motor to the stealers .....

need to see if i have any faults with the DSG as the car is clunking into first gear and dropping revs when braking etc, its been doing this since i got it.. but never having a DSG before i never realised it shouldnt be like this.. :ashamed:

Luckily my dads car is exactly the same, apart from door numbers. I had a good drive around in his and its a different car entirely when it comes to braking and acceleration doing all the usual things i do in my car plodding around town.

if its the mechatronics unit that needs a re jig is that doable without the stealer? or if its the gear box how can i tell?

when i had the car scanned last it was all clear. I have done 1k since having it which is a couple trips up and down the motorways and is the only real distance i have done in it except around town for about 200miles.

The car is only 33k too.. i really hope its nothing major.. it is under VW warranty so if i can get that going in my favor if something is wrong that would be good.

thanks guys!  :happy2:

EDIT:

This is the info i have on my unit:

Address 02: Auto Trans        Labels: 02E-300-0xx.lbl
