Water leak please help.
« on: August 17, 2015, 12:13:12 pm »
Hi there.

I've got a water leak from under the drivers side of the car beneath the drivers footwell.  Its pure water as far as I can tell.  Not greasy at all and there's quite a lot of it.

I've google searched and found this youtube vid which is EXACTLY the same problem as me.

Can anyone help?  Hoping its not a porous engine block or a heater matrix!

James

The coolant coming from your engine/heater matrix should be pink like the stuff in the expansion tank is it anything to donwith the air con ?

One expects that would be a result of running the air con and isn't a fault it part of the process.

Had the same thing on my car the other day small pool of water in exactly the same spot had me worried. Iike you say not greasy or smelly. Its from the air con unit. The trucks in work do it frequently you can hear it trickling sometimes.
