Bit of a late reply, but agree with a few posts here. Each to their own for sure, but why boost your car up before knowing it can stop properly

I've always felt the brakes on my ED30 are the worst point of the car, even in standard trim.
£300-£350 for a used R32/S3/TTS set-up is good value, IMHO. I remember when R32/TT3.2 front brakes were going for about £500 on the mkiv platform. Discs for the mkiv R32 were very expensive for the time - I have a receipt here for £130 per side (I think - they were floating discs off the RS4 of the time...). Loved one of my earliest ebay days when I won a genuine bargain of a new OEM disc for £16... I must say, the full R32 set-up on my mkiv 1.8t felt great.
Next Friday I will have a set of TTS calipers, 340mm brembo front discs, DS2500 front pads & full R32 rear set-up fitted.
Will post up my thoughts then on how they slow down an otherwise standard powered ED30...
