Title: Loose outer door handle

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone can help me.

I took my outer door skin off my golf yesterday and when putting it back together the outer door handle is loose? When i pull it open there is a few mm slack and its rattly

Sure this must off happened to someone before?

There is the wire with square plastic clip that clips to the outside of the handle. Clip it further back.

Tried that mate, its on the furthest point it can go?

Hi did mine the other week handle didnt feel to good after either did you hold handle out and push on lock with thumb while you tighten the retaining screw as i was told this is the way to do it made mine better

What Neil says.  Before you undo the T-20 screw to get the barrel out you need to pull the door handle all the way out.  Same when doing the barrel bolt back up again.
