Title: LED rear registration plate lights
Post by: ollie288 on December 22, 2009, 09:29:53 pm: Has anyone changed there rear reg lights for led ones? Any pictures and where you got them?
I have seen these ones on ebay:

Did you not bother? How come? I saw some on a lexus and thought they looked really good. My standard ones are rubbish! :fighting:

they are wickedly bright. they light up the road as well as your numberplate, which is good when reversing as the mk5 reverse light isnt all that.

You wont get any errors on the reg plate ones! :happy2:

Got them today fitted them and no probs :happy2:

I bought some from a company called SMD they are great.Only cost a tenner too !!
I should have let you see them when I was up :smiley:

I bought a set of white 6 SMD led lights for mine and they are fantastic. Crisp white light and they even light up the floor at the rear of the car

Then jump in the car switch it on and they go out !!!! I have tried switching car off lights off switch it back on and still nothing its strange???? The LEDS defo work as I`ve trie taking them out and testing them put them back in and they work for a week or so then this problem re occurs!! STRANGE!!!!

I got mine from HIDS Direct on eBay.

They come on then a few seconds later turn off :(
