Title: k04 conversion parts
Post by: Janner_Sy on December 28, 2009, 12:03:12 am: im seriosuly thinking of getting a k04 at some point in the future to be honest, but i dont have the cash to foot for the whole shebang in one lump, so im looking @ picking up all the ancillaries in dribs and drabs, like a bit a month. then ill hold out for a second hand k04.

anybody know the going rate for the ancillaries needed and alternatives available :

1)Injectors
2)Dv relocation kit.-What other options are there for the DV relocation?
3)DOes the throttle body/intercooler pie need replacing
3)I presume all i need to change on my intake is the pipe leading to the turbo for the DV take off?

questions though.

I take it the discharge pipe from the k03 cannot be used for the k04 then, i was under the impression it was just the throttle body pipe. are there aftermarket versions available for the k04?

can the k03 d revision DV still be used with the k04

It's only the silicone hose that has a bigger diameter, the alutubing is the same.
The company the rebuilt mine, are working on an aftermarket part for the K04 including a small twist :wink:
As soon as i have time to spare they will test it on my car :jumping:
As long as your Dv isn't defect you can reuse it :santa:

emails have been sent out, i can get hold of second hand S3 injectors. turbos crop up all the time on ebay, plus cuprak1 is starting a vag parts thing in the new year iirc so ill also contact him for some prices
