Hey guys,
I have just put a deposit down on a standard Edition 30 which I will be picking up on Saturday. Bloody excited!
I want to get some power upgrades done and would love some advice from people with the experience, I have zero!
I have been on Awesome's site and have seen this, which does sound pretty good to me:
http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golfmk5/apr-stage-3-turbocharger-kit-volkswagen-golf-mk5-edition-30-pirelli-edition (http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golfmk5/apr-stage-3-turbocharger-kit-volkswagen-golf-mk5-edition-30-pirelli-edition)
I am wondering if APR is a recommended for the Edition. I want to be around the 350-370bhp mark, I know figures don't mean much to some. I understand I would need some coil overs and better brakes, but what else would be required, I have no idea.
What other tuning options do I have, I have around 5-7k to spend all in. Would love some advice on what to do as I don't know where to start.
Thanks in advance, once I have got some valuable opinions and a decision on what to do I will start a build thread.
Thanks
Jay

Sounds like a wind up, your first choice for tuning is a 6.5k complete turbo upgrade !
If you are serious and are after 350+ on a ed 30 then you don't need anything like that kit. But my guess is you already know that :happy2:

With your pockets would you not be better off with this.

Personally I'd enjoy the car as it is for a bit first and get the feel for it

3" downpipe 0r 3.5" if you plan to change the turbo
high pressure fuel pump
induction kit
rs4 fuel pressure regulator valve
bigger intercooler
that should see 360bhp / 400 lb/ft

That's one heck of a stack of wedge to move the peak torque 1250rpm further up the rev range - and it doesn't even include the HPFP or intercooler! I know APR make some good shizz but that's mega expensive.
It will feel substantially laggier than the stock hardware remapped, but it will punch a lot harder up top.

Am I the only person that hates the seats in the MK7?

Like i said i aint got a clue about this kind of stuff, it was on their site and i thought i would see what everyones opinion is, if you think its a wind up you dont have to reply mate simple as. I rang up rtech today who told me what i needed to do to get to that power for alot less.

Ye to be honest i think i will have to as rtech recommended aks tuning to carry out the hardware upgrades and they can only book me in for jan 2016.
Looking forward to it i suppose will appreciate the difference more
