Hi hoping some one can help me with a fault on my 2007 ed 30, noticed a slight miss on tick over when I stop at junctions and lights, and a hissing sound on engine switch off,
Closer investigation I could see the pcv was sucking in air from a small factory hole on the saucer part, took it off and seams to work fine you can suck one way but not the other, ordered a new one and fitted it just to be on the safe side,
With the new one fitted the engine revs and hunts between 1000rpm and 1500rpm, it pulses continually, I have changed all the spark plugs and new air filter and cam follower and dv, notice if I open the oil filler cap slightly to cause a vacuum leak it ticks over normally, hope some one can help it is driving me crazy,

sorted this problem if any one has the same fault, turns out the pcv the vw dealer gave me was 06F129101P, if you intend to use this revision you wil need the rear pvc pipe with the check valve in, i returned it and for the 06F129101R straight swap works fine,
