Haven't seen on a topic on this so I thought I'd start one for any whiskey drinkers out there!
I'm a big fan and have amassed a small collection over the last few years.
Anybody out there try anything outstanding? (Omitting anything in the £100 a glass range please)

Like Whisky and Whiskey, but reluctant to pay big money. Last enjoyable bottle was Johnnie Walker Red Label.
-
Lagavulin 14 is good
I like glenmorangie 10. Straight ahead easy to drink.
My wife baned me from drinking whiskey in summer......
-
Macallan All time favourite. Any of the Speyside malts are silky smooth.

:drinking: Am I supposed to start drinking whiskey now I'm 30? Lol
-
I hate the stuff :signLOL:

It never ends well when the whiskey comes out... I very rarely drink spirits. Someone bought me a bottle of Honey Jack Daniels last year, sounds awful but it was soo easy to drink and smooth I was messed up, lol.

My favourite has to be Ben Riach original but every year I make my own blend for Christmas and this year is blueberry and it is definitely smelling potent

Make from start to finish? Full distillation to 40 odd % or the homebrewing style at 20 odd %?

No I just cheat and buy a few litres of Bells or similar and add fruit and sugar very similar as to how you would make sloe gin and leave it for months

I went tea total just before my kids were born. Too many incidents like this and too many trips to casualty. I'm a complete :rolleye: when i've been on the rum.

Quite like a bit of the Monkey's shoulder, as well as the Edradour ten year.
Had a taste of the Isle of Arran's Devils punchbowl, 3rd edition, was fantastic, but it's going for £400 a bottle now!
-
Just having a 12yr old glenfiddich now. Not to shabby.
-

Not a big whisky drinker but got some ballentines 17year old and a bottle of chivas royal salute 21 year old. Staying so close to chivas brothers i know someone that works there, that got me both bottles for £60 so not to bad or i wouldn't bother with it.

Can't beat a vintage glen morangie. currently i'm drinking a Jack Daniels Silver Select as my posher whiskey. Having just finished a bottle of the Single barrel stuff! But generally I do enjoy a bourbon so Jack is alright for me ;)
-
Like the Akashi & a good single malt with a cigar!

Really wanted to like the monkey shoulder after I got a bottle in a cage case but was completely disappointed.
They sold themselves short when they wrote on the insert "although this whiskey is enjoyable neat, it is best enjoyed mixed into your favourite cocktail".
